✨Do Mythical Creatures Exist?✨
People have been debating whether mythical creatures exist for hundreds of years. Are they only found in books and movies... or could they be real? No one has ever actually seen them so it is hard to say, but there are reasons to believe they exist and even like to visit us every once in awhile.
Fairies
While the ToothFairy is a fun tradition that involves a mom or dad trading a tooth for money, real fairies are much more secretive and magical. They enjoy the houses and rooms kids create for them, but make sure to go back to their fairy family before children wake up. People say that a fairy will visit the same child from the time he or she is born until the child is 10 years old. Fairies have been known to help out every once in awhile with small things like tidying up a room or returning a lost ball to its owners backyard.
Unicorns
Unicorns are considered the most rare form of mythical creature. They are said to be powerful and wise, setting a strong example to the rest of the creatures in their world. Many people believe they do not cross over into the human world, but stories have been passed down from generation to generation leaving us with the impression that they are out there somewhere.
Leprechauns
People believe leprechauns have a presence in our world, but they mostly like to stay hidden. Some say they live in places like a tree hollow, rabbit burrow, or even an abandoned fairy house. They risk being caught by humans every March 17th for St. Patrick’s Day. Loyal to tradition, they show up to make mischief in houses and schools all over the world. They leave behind something green (often milk or juice, but sometimes toilet water!), steal gold coins, and sometimes leave a funny note. They also leave a small treat for the boys and girls they think are special. There have been stories of leprechauns occasionally getting caught... but they always manage to escape eventually.
